The IDMLlib 1.1 release is imminent and brings a lot of new features, besides the already advertised Read/Write and Snippet support.
We started this blog as a way to introduce the new features and give you some ideas what is possible with the new IDMLlib 1.1 release, starting today. We will also use this blog to give early insight of upcoming features like CS5 support and discuss the features with you.
So this blog is also a communication tool for us, to see which features are important to you.To make this as useful as possible we will focus on one topic for each blogpost, outline the problem and show you how you can solve the task with the IDMLlib, including example code. All sourcecode published here, will be part of the IDMLlib package and can be used freely for IDMLlib customers.
A lot of customers have questions like is this going to work or is that possible with the IDMLlib. To present these question to a broader audience we intend to pick up the more challenging questions and create longer articles from the given input.
Last but not least we will give you some best practice advice and present general IDML topics like changes from IDML DomVersion 6.0 to IDML DomVersion 7.0, using the IDMLlib with .NET and introduce you to solutions our customers build on the IDMLlib foundation.
So stay tuned, we are starting today with the topic of importing snippets (.idms) into IDML documents and the problems involved in this task and we did some research on using the IDMLib in a PHP environment using the JavaBridge based on a twitter request by Cyrille Moreau
